Rodents as Pets

Bible Verse: James 3:7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
Read the next verses that follow. James 3:8-10 8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
Did you know you can train rodents to do tricks like high fives. Even rodents can be tamed but what about our tongues? We must be careful what we say to one another and should not call each other insulting names. We all need to work on taming our tongues and I hope you will too.
Weekly Creature Tip: Rodents make great pets but their smell can be unpleasant if the cage is not cleaned at least two times a week. Rodents require a little more care to keep their cages smelling fresh compared to some other pets. Mice and rats produce the most odors. Guinea Pigs are a little better and hamsters are one of the least smelly. As long as you clean your fury guy’s cage regularly rodents make great pets! You can even teach them to do little tricks and walk on a leash! Rats are especially fun to teach tricks. I have to say that hamsters are my favorite rodent because they are so cute, small, and soft. What is your favorite rodent and why? Leave a comment!
